A Quasi-documentary film
When a man declared dead explodes from his funeral pyre proclaiming “This was my magic,” a sceptical documentary crew plunges into India’s hidden mystical traditions—racing to expose the truth behind his resurrection before ancient powers and modern doubters consume them all.

Brief Take
One morning, a sensational news story shatters the everyday when a man awakens on his funeral pyre—hours after doctors declared him dead. This is Suraj, a young magician from Maharashtra whose once-celebrated, enigmatic abilities soon become a target for relentless ridicule. His raw, innate power, once a beacon of promise, spirals into public scorn, plunging him into a profound moral and emotional crisis.
Shot in a groundbreaking quasi-documentary style that seamlessly fuses raw news footage, intimate interviews, and mixed-media archival clips, the film captures a dazzling collision of myth and modernity. As Suraj endures the biting sting of mockery, he retreats inward, embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery. Delving deep into the enigmatic realms of ancient Indian mysticism, he confronts the shadowy side of magic and begins to redefine its true essence beyond mere spectacle.
The narrative builds to a breathtaking climax—a public performance not meant for the world’s validation, but as a defiant act of self-redemption. Amid swirling doubts and electrifying anticipation, Suraj’s final act erupts into a powerful declaration of his true identity. In that thrilling, transformative moment, he transcends his painful past, reclaiming the authentic, timeless allure of Indian magic.
Indrajaal weaves a tapestry of devotion, scepticism, and the price of believing in the impossible—inviting audiences to decide where illusion ends and true magic begins.
Creator's take
Magic first gripped me as a kid—lost in a funfair tent, caught between awe and terror as magicians sliced limbs and raised the dead. That primal thrill stayed with me, evolving through magic realism into a lifelong obsession with bending reality through story.
This film is not just another documentary. It’s a fearless hybrid—raw, cinematic, and disruptive—fusing the authenticity of docu-style storytelling with the surreal pulse of fiction. We’re keeping the crew lean, the shoot fast and agile, filming across India's chaotic cities and hidden corners, collaborating with local voices to stay real and alive.
Indian magic has shaped global entertainment for centuries—but its visual power has barely been scratched. We're about to change that. With a quasi-documentary format, bold visuals, and an unapologetically experimental spirit, this project is built to break moulds and travel across borders.
Forget safe rollouts—we’ll spark viral buzz with “real magic” clips, crash festivals without getting boxed as a “festival film,” and scale up through an OTT launch that blurs fact and fiction.
This is not just a film. It's a cultural disruption. And I can’t wait to set it loose
